After an MD at the University of Minnesota, U.S.A. and a PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Louvain in Belgium, Dominique started her career in pharmaceutical clinical research and product management. More recently she has held leadership positions in medical and clinical affairs as well as training management in several Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies including Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, Covidien and Norgine. She also acts as Expert for the European Commission.

Why do you believe that the European Investigator Initiated Study Conference is important?
To review the whole process in order to improve Return On Investment by working on strategy, outcomes, adherence to timelines and regulations while making sure not to take any sponsor responsibilities.
What do you hope attendees will take away from your presentation, workshop or panel discussion?
Engage participants to outline and share all aspects to be considered before engaging into an Investigator Initiated Study. Discuss the challenges, risks vs. benefits of supporting off-label use investigator studies and have participants share their experiences.
What inspires your passion and/or interest for investigator initiated studies and/or healthcare?
Passion to meet or beat deadlines without compromising on good quality or regulations. Unite Healthcare and business, i.e. bring something to the patient, the healthcare practitioners and the industry.
