We recently discussed supply chain finance with Bob Dyckman, the Managing Director of Supply Chain Finance Sales at Wells Fargo Capital Finance. Bob will be co-presenting a case study at the 2011 Life Science Financial Forum.

About the Presentation
In this unstable economy, the financial supply chain and working capital management are a core focus of all companies. Both buyers and suppliers within the supply chain want to extract working capital benefits, but need to manage conflicting objectives: buyers want to pay later and vendors want to collect faster while both seek to reduce costs wherever possible. Supply Chain Finance can help fill this gap by leveraging the credit arbitrage between trading partners to create a “win-win” so that everyone’s objectives are met. Bob Dyckman, Managing Director of Supply Chain Finance at Wells Fargo Capital Finance Jay Cook, will discuss 1) how executives of top performing companies view the financial supply chain and manage working capital objectives, 2) how Supply Chain Finance programs can help companies achieve their goals, and 3) best practices with implementing Supply Chain Finance programs.”

Bob Dyckman joined Wells Fargo in 2008 to develop and market industry-leading supply chain solutions to address the working capital needs of large corporate clients. He has over 20 years of banking and financial services experience. Prior to Wells Fargo, he led the trade and supply chain sales program at Citibank and was a treasury services sales consultant at JPMorgan/Chase. Bob also served as a director of sales at TradeCard. Bob holds an M.B.A. from Seton Hall University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Villanova University.

SherTrack LLC, a venture backed company, was founded in 2002 to develop advanced methods and solutions for Lean manufacturing. Large-scale empirical research established that predictive analytics based on demand pattern recognition and statistical process control precepts would be effective in managing customer demand and determining the optimal system response. Demand-driven predictive manufacturing is an extension of the Lean pull process. Predictive analytics replaces the Kanban system used in Lean to provide actionable demand signals. SNAPPS enables agile demand-driven operations capable of operating at the limits of their process constraints. SNAPPS improves OTD, OEE and effective capacity with fewer inventories.
